Betaine Hydrochloride with Pepsin contains the gastric acidifier, an enzyme which breaks down proteins. Our Betaine is derived synthetically without the use of fungi or yeast.

Digestion and absorption of nutrients are important functions of the body to remain healthy and to support general well-being. In order to receive all the benefits from the foods consumed, the digestive system needs to breakdown carbohydrates, proteins and fats into molecules so they can enter the body's circulation. The digestive tract may be the most important component in the body as it singly is responsible for making sure we receive the full effect of the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients from our food. Maintaining a healthy digestion is therefore of upmost importance.

Betaine contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. Betaine Hydrochloride is an acidic form of Betaine and is often used to support levels of stomach acid. Pepsin is produced in the stomach and is one of the main digestive enzymes helping to digest proteins in food. The daily dose of 1-3 tablets will provide you with two key ingredients. 

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
The product should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. It is recommended to use a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Recommended daily dose: 1 capsule once a day with a meal.
